Breville BJE200XL Compact Juicer

Breville BJE200XL Compact Juice Fountain Review

Breville created the BJE200XL model as a centrifugal juicing machine.

A centrifugal machine, unlike a slow juicer, is one where there is swift spinning action to extract juice from produce.

Features and Benefits

Juicing Power

The greatest asset of this juicer might be its power. A 700-watt motor works at 14000 RPMs to provide rapid and maximum juice extraction. The high speed saves time while the maximum juice extraction saves you money as you don’t have to buy too much produce to make a lot of juice.

It also has a patented centered knife blade cutter assembly. This feature ensures that when produce is put into the feed chute, a small dual-bladed knife shreds the pulp into smaller particles while pushing it against the filter. Consequently, there is no uneven pressure on the cutter and filter. The 700-Watt Juice extractor was created to handle heavy-duty juicing.

With such features almost all your juicing needs. Some people have even used it to juice pizza (it usually tastes just like pizza just in case you were wondering). However, it can’t grind coffee or make sorbets and nut butter like masticating juicers.

Ease of use

The extra-large 3-inch feed tube is just what you need as you don’t have to use up any of your precious time cutting up the produce into smaller pieces. It comes with a 1-liter collecting jug (this is around 3 glasses of juice) means you don’t have to keep transferring the juice to another container.

Ease of cleaning

There are only 5 parts to clean – the cover, the pulp catcher, juice jug, plunger and the shredding disc. The parts are dishwasher safe but if you decide to go the hand washing way, they have a custom cleaning brush included to help you out with that.

How long will it last?

Durability is assured with this juicer. The stainless steel parts such as the micro-mesh filter have no rust in their future. You should know they give you a one-year limited warranty for this.

Design

This model has a compact and ergonomic design that takes up a little space as possible on your kitchen counter. This also comes in handy during storage as you don’t have to look for an extra-large storage space.

Downsides

It does not have a separate pulp ejector so it can’t get a lot of juicing done in one go. You have to rinse it out if you are juicing for more than one person which can be a little time wasting. However, this rinsing out will only eat up no more than two minutes of your day. It might also not be the best for juicing your leafy greens. A tip that might help when it comes to greens: inserting your large greens folded will make work a lot easier.

It is also relatively louder than most juicers.

Verdict

This is an excellent juicer for juicing for almost three people (one glass each). Juicing for more will require a rinse out which is something you can easily live with. It is a worth it investment.
